Catch zany Mitchell’s Plain comedian, Kurt Schoonraad in his hilarious one man show, “Spiders and Mayonnaise” at Uptown Theatres (The Playhouse) in Port Elizabeth from May 21 to 29. Known as Cape Town’s quirkiest rubber faced comedian, Kurt was a hit on popular South African show, ‘Going Nowhere Slowly’, and the whacky game show ‘Crazy Games’. The show takes a unique look at the lighter side of being South African; from our every day fears, pet hates all the way to bloomer panties. Come join Kurt on a hysterical journey through South Africa’s past, present and future. It has been described as “a topsy-turvy, laugh-a-minute show” by Johannesburg audiences.

Kurt fell in love with the stage at the age of ten when he joined the Creative School of Speech And Drama. His love of acting and entertaining continued into High School where he was inspired by his teacher, Mr Keston at Rocklands Senior Secondary.

In 2000 he joined the Cape Comedy Collective which provided him with the platform for developing and delivering his own brand of observational humour.

Tickets are R90 and are available from Computicket.

There are also three charity shows taking place where R40 per ticket sold will be given to charity. Shows include: 21 May for the Toy Run (082 568 0682), 22 May for CANSA (083 320 2729) and 24 May for Save-a-Pet (084 381 5125).
