Sipho \u201cHotstix\u201d Mabuse delivered a standout performance at the 2026 Cape Town International Jazz Festival<\/span>, commanding the Kippies Stage with the energy and finesse that have defined his legacy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Known for classics like Burn Out<\/em> and Jive Soweto<\/em>, Mabuse blended nostalgia with fresh vibrancy, moving seamlessly between instruments as the crowd sang, danced, and clapped along.<\/span><\/p>\n

Backing him was his long-standing band:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

 Khumo Kganyago (Guitar)<\/span>, Bernice Boikanyo (drums)<\/span>, Lloyd Toto Mbele (Keyboards)<\/span>, Khemani Khosa (road <\/span>manager), Thami Ernest Mgcina (sound engineer)<\/span>, and Thembeka Tabia Khumalo (Backing Vocals) <\/span>musicians who have been with him for over a decade and bring depth and gravitas to his sound. <\/span><\/p>\n

Together, they delivered a tight, electrifying set that reaffirmed Mabuse\u2019s status as a towering figure in South African music.<\/span><\/p>\n
