HandPrinter Art, a hand-printing studio in Woodstock, sets out its <a href=\"https:\/\/handprinter.co.za\/workshops-and-kits\">workshops and kits<\/a> around both questions, with gouges, brayers, barens and paper packed per table so nobody waits for a cutting tool.<\/p>\n<p>Every session follows the same order. Safe hand positions are explained first, then the block is carved with gouges and V-tools, inked with a brayer and printed by hand with a baren or through a press.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The format changes with the group:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Private studio workshops in Woodstock, with table space, drying room and a press nearby<\/li>\n<li>School pop-up workshops set up in classrooms and halls<\/li>\n<li>Team sessions built around a shared image or a split block<\/li>\n<li>Family sessions with easier carving blocks for mixed ages<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For anyone who wants to keep carving at home, the beginner lino kit holds lino, a basic cutter, ink, a roller and paper. Soft-cut blocks suit first-time cutters and younger groups, while traditional lino sheets suit sharper line work once the hand is steadier.<\/p>\n<p>Woodstock is the main studio base, with bookings across Cape Town, Stellenbosch and Bellville.
