South Africa’s premier Women’s Month celebration, the Totalsports Women’s Race, returns this August with three unforgettable events across Durban, Cape Town, and Johannesburg on three consecutive Sundays. The festivities kick off in Durban on 2 August, continue in Cape Town on 9 August, and culminate in Johannesburg on 16 August 2026.

Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports, on announcing the dates of the 2026 Totalsports Women’s Race: “We’re excited to confirm the dates for South Africa’s largest Women’s Month celebration. Each year, over 30,000 women come together across three major cities to embrace the joy of movement on scenic 5km and 10km routes. Whether running or walking, elite athletes or first-time participants, the Totalsports Women’s Race is all about inclusivity, empowerment, and celebrating the strength, spirit, and achievements of women in a vibrant and supportive environment.”

Beyond the finish line, the Totalsports Women’s Race proudly continues to support PinkDrive, making a real difference in the fight against breast cancer.

“The 2026 edition of the Totalsports Women’s Race presents SA’s elite women with the rare chance to compete in a world-class, women-only race right here at home, with three opportunities to go head-to-head against a strong and inspiring elite field,” adds Meyer. “We’re committed to raising the bar for women’s racing while creating an exciting, high-energy atmosphere that every participant and spectator can enjoy. August promises to be unforgettable as we welcome thousands of women to the start line in Durban, Cape Town, and Johannesburg!”

Building on Michael’s sentiments, Nikki Crous, Head of Marketing at Totalsports adds further insight: “The Totalsports Women’s Race has firmly established itself as one of South Africa’s premier celebrations of women across three major cities. This event is about so much more than running or walking – it’s about uniting women of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds to celebrate strength, resilience, and community. From the scenic streets of Durban to Cape Town’s iconic waterfront and the vibrant energy of Johannesburg, each city offers a truly unforgettable experience. Every step our participants take – whether racing the 10km or enjoying a relaxed 5km walk – contributes to the spirit of empowerment, camaraderie, and joy that defines this iconic event. We’re proud to announce the 2026 dates and encourage runners to enter as soon as entries open to secure their spot on the start line. Come join us in creating lasting memories, inspiring one another, and celebrating the power, passion, and spirit of women in sport and beyond.”

Political monopoly and economic monopoly are two sides of the same coin, two heads of the same monster. Despite all the claims to the contrary, the essential ideology of Neo-Conservatism is to preserve the status quo, with all of its injustices. Its Public Relations experts call for \”freedom and democracy\” without a framework of higher values. They fail to comprehend the need for a paradigm of justice and therefore are blind to what concerns most of the people in the world. This failure is the taproot of terrorism. – Robert Dickson Crane

Myth: PR success is based totally on chance. Fact: While there’s an element of unpredictability to PR, success is really based on strategy. Another common take on PR is that not much planning goes into it – that PR pros just push press releases or spray their message indiscriminately to the media, hoping for an easy hit. This couldn’t be further from the truth. PR is all about timing and strategy. Most successful PR professionals are news junkies, which is helpful because a huge and essential par of the job is staying up-to-date on current events, trends, and breaking news. If anything relevant to your client is going on in the media, you need to act quickly and approach clients with a plan of action for leveraging the opportunity before someone else beats you to the punch. While it may look like certain articles or announcements get published just because the topic is inherently interesting, PR teams work hard on behalf of their clients to cultivate relationships with reporters and prove that certain stories are relevant and worth printing.
