29 September 2024 by Guest

KIMBERLEY – The multi-disciplinary Operation Vala Umgodi secured the arrest of 39 people for contravention of Immigration laws, during an early morning disruptive operation in the greater Kimberley area on Saturday, 28 September 2024.

Different stakeholders, comprising of both combat and proactive teams of SAPS, SANDF and Immigration officials took part in the execution of an intelligence driven operation about different hide outs of alleged undocumented individuals in the Kimberley area.

In the early morning hours of Saturday, 28 September 2024, the members tactically operationalised the information at their disposal, which led to the arrest of 31 men and eight women, aged between 21 and 49, at different addresses in Galeshewe and the Kimberley CBD.

The suspects are expected to appear before the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court soon.

Operation Vala Umgodi is committed to strengthen the fight against all criminal and unlawful activities taking place in the Northern Cape Province.
