ActionSA is deeply concerned about the deteriorating condition of Sibuyile Clinic in Daantjie trust ward 24 in Pienaar, within the City of Mbombela, Mpumalanga.

It is unacceptable that, more than three decades into democracy, our communities must still rely on healthcare infrastructure inherited from the apartheid era, without a sustainable plan to replace outdated facilities. The people deserve a modern, safe and well-equipped clinic that can adequately meet their healthcare needs.
ActionSA therefore calls on the Mpumalanga Department of Health to prioritise the construction of a new Sibuyile Clinic rather than continuing to renovate the existing building. We believe a new facility would provide a more sustainable, long-term solution, improve healthcare delivery and ensure a dignified environment for patients, nurses, doctors and other healthcare workers.
ActionSA further calls on the Mpumalanga MEC for Health to intervene urgently, visit the clinic, assess its condition and engage with the community to address residents’ concerns. The MEC must provide a clear commitment, supported by a concrete plan and timelines for constructing a new clinic.
The health and well-being of our people cannot be compromised. The community of Pienaar deserves better healthcare infrastructure, and government must demonstrate its commitment through decisive action rather than temporary solutions.
ActionSA demands the urgent construction of a new Sibuyile Clinic. The continued reliance on an ageing facility is unacceptable, and the MEC for Health must act decisively to ensure that the people of Pienaar receive the quality healthcare infrastructure they deserve.
ActionSA will continue to stand with the community in demanding accountability, improved public healthcare services and infrastructure that reflects the dignity and aspirations of our people.
