AGROSFERA joins FasterCapital Equitypilot to attract financing for the project: Construction of a cluster-type production facility for growing strawberries (hydroponics), a greenhouse complex using VENLO GREENHOUSE technology, storage and processing of vegetables and fruits, and transportation services. Project cost = €800,000,000

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates: AGROSFERA and FasterCapital today announced a strategic partnership through FasterCapital’s Equitypilot program to accelerate AGROSFERA’s large-scale hydroponic strawberry, vegetable production and processing project in Frolovo, Volgograd region, Russia. Announced Oct. 16, 2025, the collaboration combines FasterCapital’s capital-raising, technical mentorship and market access with AGROSFERA’s 420-hectare agribusiness plan to fast-track commercialization.

Market opportunity & problem statement

Global demand for year-round high-quality berries and fresh produce is growing rapidly: controlled-environment agriculture and cold-chain logistics are projected to outpace traditional farming as supply-chain resilience and food safety become priorities. In Russia and nearby export markets, seasonal production, post-harvest losses and fragmented processing create inefficiencies. AGROSFERA targets this white space by integrating hydroponics, biovegetarium technology, on-site storage and processing, and transport services to reduce spoilage, raise yields, and enable export-grade supply on a reliable timeline.

Startup solution & differentiation

AGROSFERA’s integrated model combines hydroponic strawberry and vegetable cultivation with a vertically linked storage, processing and transportation network on a 420-hectare land asset in Bolshoy Lychak farm, Frolovsky district. Proprietary greenhouse designs and biovegetarium systems enable higher yield per square meter, lower water use and consistent quality; on-site processing and cold-chain control deliver longer shelf life and export readiness. Registered entities in Dubai, Hong Kong and UAE streamline international financing and trade. Early-stage feasibility studies, site permits and a structured €800 million financing model demonstrate defensible positioning versus fragmented local growers and legacy exporters.

FasterCapital partnership value

Through the Equitypilot program, FasterCapital will provide structured acceleration: investor introductions, go-to-market strategy, technical advisory, and capital-raising support tied to AGROSFERA’s funding tranche schedule. FasterCapital’s selective criteria—scalability, team strength, and market validation—served as a stamp of quality for this partnership. Expected outcomes in 12–24 months include completion of primary site construction financing, prototype greenhouse commissioning, and the first commercial harvest and export shipments. FasterCapital will also advise on risk mitigation, insurance placement, and international trade logistics.

Executive quotes

“Hesham Zreik: “We see AGROSFERA addressing a critical gap in regional food security and export-led agribusiness. Their integrated approach—combining hydroponics, processing and transport—aligns with our thesis of backing capital-efficient, scalable food-tech projects. FasterCapital’s Equitypilot will accelerate execution and de-risk early capital deployment while unlocking international markets.”

“Alexander Guzhavin, General Director, AGROSFERA: “This partnership with FasterCapital validates our vision to transform Frolovo into a resilient, export-ready agri-cluster. With access to Equitypilot resources and strategic capital, we’ll fast-track construction, optimize operations and deliver traceable, high-value produce to domestic and export buyers.”

Growth trajectory & future plans

Near-term priorities include finalizing financed construction, commissioning pilot hydroponic modules, and securing offtake agreements with regional retailers and exporters. By year two AGROSFERA plans staged capacity ramp-up across 420 hectares, expansion of processing throughput, and deployment of refrigerated logistics for domestic and international routes. Funding milestones align with a 10-year loan structure and potential 5-year extension; additional equity rounds will support technology scaling, vertical integration and wider European and Middle Eastern market entry.
