Anti-poverty Program to Assist With Food Security and Poverty Alleviation in the Eastern Cape

10 October 2024 by Guest

Tomorrow, 11 October 2024, the DA in the Eastern Cape will be joined by a delegation from the Taiwanese government to deliver donations to an NPO in Mthatha and to families who lost loved ones in the recent tragic mass killings in Lusikisiki.

DA EC Provincial Chairperson Yusuf Cassim MPL, DA Deputy Chief Whip in Parliament Baxolile Nodada MP, and Director-General of the Taipei Liaison Office Lily Chen, will present donations to the Ikhwezi Lokusa Rehabilitation and Development Society in Mthatha.

Afterward, the delegation will travel to Ngobozana Village near Lusikisiki to meet with families who lost loved ones in the recent mass shootings in the area.

Donations will be provided to the families to offer support during this difficult time.

The DA is extremely grateful for the generous donations made by the Taiwanese government to assist with food security and poverty alleviation in the Eastern Cape.

We will provide details on how these donations will be distributed through NPOs to reach those in need across the province.

Laduma! – he scores! [laa-doo-maa] This term is usually screamed out when a soccer team scores a goal. Extend any of the syllables for full effect.Example: “Laaaaaaduuuuumaaaa!”
