Bad news for Netflix and DStv in South Africa | SA News


When households in South Africa come under financial pressure, the first thing they cut back on is video entertainment, according to the latest Old Mutual Savings and Investment Monitor.

Old Mutual found that the top financial priorities among working South Africans remain income and job security, followed by cutting expenses and managing debt.

Although cost-cutting remained a top priority, the results showed that financial pressures appeared to be easing as people took a more relaxed stance to cost-cutting.
