As organisations face increasing pressure to maintain accurate supplier compliance records and demonstrate credible transformation progress, the BEE Chamber and The Good People Data Company (TGPDC) have partnered to introduce a new digital capability designed to improve the reliability and accessibility of B-BBEE certification and data across South Africa’s procurement landscape.

The initiative brings together the BEE Chamber’s long-standing role in BEE and Transformation advisory with TGPDC’s Verify FLEX orchestration technology to support businesses seeking faster, more dependable verification of supplier credentials.

Rather than relying on fragmented document exchanges and manual validation processes, the platform enables organisations to work with authenticated B-BBEE certificate data sourced directly from trusted channels.

This supports procurement teams, financial institutions and compliance functions in reducing administrative friction while strengthening audit readiness. The platform has the capability to integrate directly with enterprise ERP systems, enabling a seamless and automated process.

Supporting smarter supplier verification

“Across many sectors, supplier onboarding and compliance monitoring remain heavily document-driven, creating delays and increasing the risk of errors or misrepresentation. The joint solution introduces a structured digital approach to certificate authentication that allows organisations to manage verification processes more consistently and at scale,” says Etienne Arnulphy, Business Development Specialist, the BEE Chamber.

According to JK du Toit, Director at The Good People Data Company, the collaboration reflects a broader shift taking place in compliance infrastructure. “Businesses are increasingly moving away from static document handling toward trusted, data-driven verification models. Working alongside the BEE Chamber allows us to support organisations with a more reliable way to confirm supplier status and maintain confidence in their transformation reporting.”

Arnulphy notes that improved access to authenticated certification information helps strengthen both compliance integrity and operational efficiency across the value chain.

“This collaboration allows organisations to interact with authenticated B-BBEE certificate data in a way that supports both governance requirements and day-to-day supplier management. It helps ensure that transformation reporting remains credible while reducing unnecessary administrative complexity.”

Strengthening compliance confidence in a changing regulatory environment

“With transformation measurement continuing to play an important role in procurement strategy, ESG reporting alignment and enterprise risk management, organisations are increasingly prioritising access to dependable compliance data.

“By combining trusted certification expertise with orchestration technology designed for enterprise-scale deployment, the partnership contributes toward building a more connected and transparent supplier compliance environment in South Africa,” Arnulphy adds.
