Big change for electricity prices in South Africa | SA News


South Africa’s energy regulator has been given until 5 May to finalise all municipal tariff applications, and municipalities must submit their applications by 20 March each year.

This is according to new court-imposed annual timelines for the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (Nersa) — a ruling civil rights organisation AfriForum has welcomed.

“AfriForum achieved a decisive victory in the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria this week in its case against Nersa,” it said.
