BlitzBok Women bounce back to go top | SA News

DAY ONE WRAP: The BlitzBok Women started the Uruguay leg of the HSBC SVNS 2 tournament slowly, but exploded into try-scoring action later on Saturday to jump to the top of the standings after the three matches played on at the Estadio Charrua in Montevideo.

The South Africans had a poor start in their opening match against Spain, conceding three tries in the first seven minutes, but rallied strongly and ran out of time in the second half, going down 14-15.

They then responded in impressive fashion with victories over China (38-0) and Brazil (26-0) to jump to the top of the standings at the end of day one, scoring 10 tries without reply in their last two encounters.
