Launched in 2023, the Boxer Super Run has quickly become one of South Africa’s most anticipated 5km events. Centred around the world’s most popular running distance, the event offers something for everyone, welcoming elite athletes, social runners, walkers and first-time participants to enjoy a high-energy, inclusive race-day experience.
Commenting on the increased capacity for the 2026 Boxer Super Run Durban, Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports, said:
“The response to the Boxer Super Run Durban has been phenomenal, and increasing our capacity from 5000 to 7000 participants is a direct reflection of the event’s growing popularity. We’re excited to welcome even more runners, walkers, families and fitness enthusiasts to experience the incredible atmosphere that makes this event so special. We encourage everyone to secure their entry early, as we expect demand to be high.”
Highlighting Boxer’s commitment to inspiring healthier, more active communities, Lee-Ann Pillay, Head of Marketing at Boxer Superstores, said:

Self-respect cannot be hunted. It cannot be purchased. It is never for sale. It cannot be fabricated out of Public Relations. It comes to us when we are alone, in quiet moments, in quiet places, when we suddenly realize that, knowing the good, we have done it; knowing the beautiful, we have served it; knowing the truth we have spoken it.
