CAF confirms Bafana draw for AFCON 2027 – South African Football Association | SA News

19 May 2026 – Bafana Bafana have been drawn in Group D of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations 2027 following the tournament draw conducted in Cairo, Egypt, on Tuesday afternoon.

The South African senior men’s national team was pitted against hosts co-hosts Kenya, Guinea and Eritrea. The tournament takes place from 19 June to 17 July 2027 and will be held in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

The 48 teams were drawn in 12 groups of four countries with the first matches to played from 21 September, and run all the way to 30 March 2027. Bafana Bafana exited the previous tournament in the Last 16 stage after a defeat to Cameroon at the Al Medina Stadium in…
