Johannesburg, South Africa — CallOrbit, a cloud-based contact center and VoIP platform, has officially launched its full suite of business communication tools for international clients. The platform combines voice calling, WhatsApp Business messaging, SMS, intelligent IVR, call queues, AI-powered agent assist, and real-time analytics in a single browser-based workspace.

Solving a Real Problem for Growing Contact Centers

BPO operators have historically relied on expensive on-premise PBX hardware or legacy telephony systems that require significant IT investment and long-term contracts. CallOrbit was built to change that.

“We built CallOrbit for the teams that are managing real call volume and customer expectations but cannot justify the cost or complexity of traditional enterprise phone systems,” said a spokesperson for the company. “Our platform gives a ten-person support team the same operational visibility and call routing capabilities that large contact centers pay hundreds of thousands of rands for.”

The platform requires no hardware, no lengthy implementation, and no developer resources. Teams can purchase a local or international virtual number, configure their IVR call flows, set up agent queues, and go live in under 30 minutes.

Key Capabilities

CallOrbit offers a browser-based softphone that works on any device without downloads or plugins. The platform includes a visual drag-and-drop IVR builder, multi-level call routing, live supervisor dashboards, call recording, voicemail transcription, and integration with tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, and Zapier.

WhatsApp Business calling and messaging is natively integrated, allowing contact center agents to handle voice calls and WhatsApp conversations from the same workspace without switching applications.

For AI-driven operations, CallOrbit provides real-time call summaries, intent capture, and agent assist prompts that surface relevant information to agents during live calls.

Virtual Phone Numbers in South Africa and Globally

CallOrbit provides local and toll-free virtual phone numbers in South Africa, as well as numbers in over 100 countries. Businesses can retain their existing numbers through the platform’s number porting service, which transfers numbers from any current carrier at no additional cost.

The coverage extends across major metros including Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, and Pretoria, with geographic and non-geographic numbering options available.

Pricing Built for African Market Conditions

Plans start at $25 per agent per month on the Starter tier, which supports up to ten agents. The Growth tier, at $39 per agent per month, supports up to 50 agents and includes advanced queue management, SLA monitoring, CRM integrations, and supervisor tools. Enterprise pricing is custom and negotiated on a per-organisation basis.

All paid plans include a 14-day free trial with no credit card required.

“Pricing is one of the biggest barriers for growing businesses in South Africa,” the spokesperson added. “We structured our pricing per agent so that small teams are not paying for capacity they do not use, and larger operations can scale without renegotiating a contract every six months.”

POPIA and GDPR Compliance

Data protection compliance is built into the platform architecture. CallOrbit supports POPIA requirements for South African businesses and GDPR requirements for European operations, with data encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, audit logs, and a Data Processing Addendum available to enterprise customers.
