First clean audit was received for the Municipal Entity

Host venue for “Match in Africa” featuring Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Trevor Noah and Bill Gates. A world record in spectator attendance for a single tennis match.
2021
Construction of the additional 168 suites, and 7 executive lounges was completed.
Naming Rights Partnership secured with DHL. The Stadium undergoes a name change from Cape Town Stadium to DHL Stadium.
Host venue for British Irish Lions Tour.
2022
Anchor Tenant Agreement signed between DHL Stadium and Western Province Rugby
2023
DHL Stadium becomes the official home of Stormers Rugby.
The official launch of the DHL Stadium Business Lounge and its memberships.
DHL Stadium replaces its 100% natural pitch with a hybrid Grassmax pitch.
2024
Host venue for South Africa vs New Zealand Rugby Test Match
The first South African player in the NBA (Grant Hill had South African heritage, but the first true SA player was…): Steven Pienaar in the Premier League (soccer) 2006 – While not a US sport, Pienaar’s success in one of the world’s top soccer leagues was a major moment.
