Johannesburg: Music lovers are invited to celebrate Freedom Day weekend in true rock-and-roll style as The Hangout Fest 3 returns with an electrifying lineup, vibrant atmosphere, and a strong message of freedom, connection, and self-expression.

Set to take place on Saturday, 25 April at The German Club in Edenvale, this highly anticipated event promises a full day of live music, community spirit, and unforgettable performances. Festivalgoers are encouraged to make the most of the long weekend by embracing the freedom to be themselves, whether attending solo or with friends.

Building on the success of previous editions, The Hangout Fest has quickly become a beloved gathering for music enthusiasts. Organisers have expressed their appreciation for the continued support from attendees and are excited to welcome both returning guests and newcomers back into the garden for another memorable experience.

The festival will feature an impressive lineup of South African talent, including The Dirty Skirts, Lee Cole, Shadowclub, Majozi, The Black Cat Bones, The Muffinz, Jasper Dan, Rambling Bones, Prime Circle, and Hellcats. The entertainment will be further enhanced by DJ sets from Michael Lesar and Cath Grenfell, with MC Barney Simon hosting the day’s proceedings.

Gates open at 11:00, with the first performance starting at 12:00, setting the tone for a full day of music and celebration.

A variety of ticket options are available to suit different preferences, including general admission, VIP experiences, and combination packages that include transport via party bus. VIP ticket holders will enjoy access to a dedicated bar, exclusive ablution facilities, and comfortable seating areas.

Attendees can also look forward to a wide selection of food and beverages. Catering will be provided by The German Club alongside additional food stalls, including options for a range of dietary preferences such as vegan offerings. Merchandise will be available for purchase on-site.

The event is family-friendly, with children under the age of 12 granted free entry, although advance ticket registration is encouraged to assist organisers in managing capacity.

Guests are encouraged to come prepared for a day in the sun by bringing hats, sunscreen, and comfortable dancing shoes.

Parking will be available at the venue; however, attendees are encouraged to consider shared transport or ride services to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. A dedicated party bus option is also available for those travelling from the Randburg area.

The event will take place at The German Club, located at 8 Plantation Road, Eastleigh, Edenvale.
