Monday, 27 October 2025, The Adopt-a-School Foundation, a partner entity of Cyril Ramaphosa Foundation, hosted the Moral Regeneration Awards Ceremony at Boitekong Secondary School on 18 October in Rustenburg, celebrating excellence, integrity and positive values among learners from Meriti Secondary, Boitekong I and Boitekong II.
The Moral Regeneration Programme forms part of the Foundation’s Social Welfare pillar under the Whole School Development model, which focuses on promoting strong moral values, ethical leadership and respect among learners. The programme encourages young leaders to be ambassadors of positive change within their schools and communities.
Funded by Merafe Resources , the ceremony marked a proud moment for learners who successfully completed the leadership journey and graduated as Moral Regeneration Ambassadors. The day was filled with excitement and inspiration as learners reflected on their personal growth and shared heartfelt testimonies about how the programme has shaped their character and outlook on life.
Through songs and motivational talks, the event highlighted the importance of moral leadership and the power of education to transform lives. Parents, educators and community members joined in the celebration showing their support for the learners’ commitment to leading with honesty, compassion and respect.
Peter Mahani, Programme Manager for Social Welfare at Adopt-a-School Foundation, commended the learners for their dedication and the positive influence they continue to have on their peers. “The Moral Regeneration Programme is not only about good behaviour it is about building young leaders who will drive integrity and empathy in their communities,” he said.
The Foundation expressed its gratitude to Merafe Resources for their continued support and to Eagle B for partnering in empowering young people to lead with purpose and pride.
The Moral Regeneration Awards Ceremony stands as a reminder that when learners are guided by strong values they become the true champions of change in their schools and beyond.
