Chasing the Catch Winners

9 December 2025 by Guest

With just days to go before the highly anticipated fourth season of Betway SA20 gets underway, proud title partner Betway have officially revealed the two winners of the inaugural Betway SA20 Chasing the Catch campaign.

Following an extensive nationwide search, cricket superfans Shaina-Rae from Durban and Dwayne Nzimande from Johannesburg have been selected as this season’s official campaign ambassadors.

Chasing the Catch, launched earlier this year, set out to identify passionate cricket supporters who exemplify the spirit and creativity synonymous with South Africa’s cricket culture.

Entrants were invited to submit a 60-second audition video, showcasing their personality, passion, and unique creativity on how they can elevate the Betway SA20 fan experience.

With hundreds of submissions received, Betway conducted a comprehensive review process, evaluating each video alongside the entrants’ social presence and their potential to authentically connect with fans across the country.

As newly appointed ambassadors, Shaina and Dwayne will help elevate fan engagement throughout the new Betway SA20 season.

From producing behind-the-scenes content to interacting with supporters across digital platforms at stadiums, the duo will play a key role in amplifying the tournament atmosphere from the opening match on Friday, 26 December 2025.

Congratulating the two winners, Betway Head of Marketing, Mark Rowles, expressed pride in the enthusiasm shown by all entrants during the campaign, while also reaffirming Betway’s commitment to fostering authentic sport engagement across the brand’s sponsorship properties.

“The Betway Chasing the Catch campaign has once again highlighted the incredible passion South Africans have for cricket. We were truly impressed by the creativity shown by our entrants who submitted their entries in their numbers,” said Rowles.

“At Betway, we remain committed to creating fan-centric experiences that bring supporters closer to the sport they love, and our ambassadors Shaine and Dwayne will play a vital role in making this Betway SA20 season unforgettable,” he concluded.

The success of Chasing the Catch reinforces Betway’s dedication to enriching South Africa’s sporting landscape by celebrating the supporters’ true spirit of the game.

Betway encourages fans to follow the journey of the two winners @hey_shainarae and @lifeof_dwayne throughout the tournament and to join the conversation using #ChasingTheCatch and #BetwaySA20 across all social platforms.
