
A cold front is bringing snow and bitterly cold conditions to parts of South Africa, with snowfall already reported in the Western Cape, Eastern Cape and the Drakensberg.
Snow Report’s forecaster, Richard Le Sier, said pictures have emerged from the Franschhoek Pass, the Hex River mountains and the Swartberg, while lower-level snow is being reported across parts of the Eastern Cape and southern Drakensberg.
Weather reports suggest snow is also possible in Gauteng.
Le Sier said people in the Cape can expect snow mainly on the higher mountain peaks.
