The success of the inaugural Renishaw Solstice Race has created a lasting legacy beyond the finish line. The event, held on 20 June 2026 at Crocworld Conservation & Adventure Centre within Renishaw Coastal Precinct, brought hundreds of athletes to this stunning Scottburgh trail adventure. Together with the event host, Scottburgh Cycling Club, title sponsor Renishaw Coastal Precinct donated R7 500 to Keep Scottburgh Beautiful, with a portion of the race proceeds supporting the ongoing enhancement of the town’s entrance and surrounding environment.

Barto van der Merwe, Managing Director of Renishaw Coastal Precinct, said: “Renishaw Coastal Precinct was proud to sponsor the inaugural Renishaw Solstice Race. This is an amazing example of a community event encouraging outdoor activity while supporting local businesses and giving back to the community. Having recently taken over the management of Crocworld on behalf of Crookes Brothers Limited, it was particularly rewarding to see the venue and the Renishaw trails bring the community together for such a successful event. The race generated a profit, some of which is now being donated to Keep Scottburgh Beautiful to support the ongoing improvement of the entrance to Scottburgh. We are proud to be part of an initiative that promotes outdoor activity, supports local organisations, and contributes positively to the area. We look forward to being part of the Renishaw Solstice Race for many years to come and to seeing the event continue to grow.”

Upon receiving the donation, Gavin Roberts of Keep Scottburgh Beautiful, said: “The primary objective of Keep Scottburgh Beautiful is to ensure that residents enjoy a clean, well-maintained town while encouraging more visitors and holidaymakers to choose Scottburgh as their destination. As tourism continues to grow, local businesses benefit, creating a stronger economy and more vibrant future for the entire community.”

Renishaw Coastal Precinct is a mixed-use precinct positioned to unlock long-term economic and residential growth on the KZN South Coast. Driven by Renishaw Property Developments, the precinct has already seen the successful sell-out of six phases at Renishaw Hills, with the recent launch of the in-demand Restilridge Farm Estate. Self-respect cannot be hunted. It cannot be purchased. It is never for sale. It cannot be fabricated out of Public Relations. It comes to us when we are alone, in quiet moments, in quiet places, when we suddenly realize that, knowing the good, we have done it; knowing the beautiful, we have served it; knowing the truth we have spoken it.
