The popular WildED Holiday Camp is returning to Crocworld Conservation Centre in Scottburgh from Monday, 15 to Friday, 19 December. Hosted at the WILDED Learning Hub @ Crocworld Conservation Centre in Scottburgh, the WildED Holiday Camp gives children aged 8 to 13 years an unforgettable week of fun. Children are welcome to come for one day, a few days, or the entire week of outdoor exploration and conservation-based learning.

“This year’s camp promises even more adventure and excitement,” says WildED Holiday Camp Director, Matt Machell-Cox. “We’ve added new activities like the exciting Jikikeza Outdoor Adventures treetop rope course, along with all the favourites that make these holiday camps such a hit with children. It’s a fantastic opportunity for children to reconnect with nature, make new friends, and learn valuable life and conservation skills.”

WildED is committed to outdoor education for the next generation of conservation warriors. Each activity has been carefully designed to encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and respect for the natural world. All the activities take place in a safe, guided environment led by experienced camp facilitators.

“This is such a great opportunity for youngsters to get out in nature and experience the lasting impact they can have in conservation in a really fun and dynamic setting,” said Susan Badat, Crocworld Conservation Centre Manager. “It’s time for the kids to take a break from screens and make real, lasting connections and memories that will positively shift how they view the world.”

From 9am to 3.30pm daily (ending at 12.30pm on Friday), campers will participate in a range of exciting nature-based and adventure activities, including:

  • Orienteering and outdoor navigation challenges
  • A lighthouse hike exploring Scottburgh’s scenic coastline
  • Helping the Crocworld team care for the centre’s fascinating animals
  • Tree planting and conservation activities that give back to nature
  • The Jikikeza Outdoor Adventures course to test balance and bravery
  • A fun and challenging Adventure Race that ties all their skills together
