Crocworld Conservation Centre continues to cement its reputation as a leading outdoor adventure hub on the KZN South Coast, with last week’s Cross Country League 8 event (2 May 2026) showcasing the strength of its growing trail network.

Hosted in partnership with Scottburgh Athletics Club, the event welcomed athletes to experience Crocworld’s purpose-built trail routes which are being developed by the experienced team from Badger’s Cycling and Sports Centre – now located at Crocworld.

One standout performance came from Bongumusa Ngcobo (Maxed Elite), who recorded an impressive 10km time of 37:51, underlining the competitive standard of the day.

Lungelo Zuma of Scottburgh Athletics Club commented: “Thank you to all the clubs, individuals, and locals who attended, and a big thank you to Renishaw Coastal Precinct and Crocworld Conservation Centre for the amazing course. We also appreciate all Scottburgh Athletics Club members who volunteered to make the league a success. We’re looking forward to returning in July for the District Championships.”

Next on the calendar is the Renishaw Solstice Race on 20 June 2026 (Contact Runé Van Zyl on 082 923 5535 | https://racepass.com/za/races/renishaw-solstice-race), and XC Cross Country Championship Ugu on 25 July 2026 (Contact Lungelo Zuma on 063 013 5477 | 1mashiza@gmail.com).

From world-class trails to unforgettable race experiences, Crocworld is fast becoming a must-visit destination for outdoor enthusiasts.

Crocworld forms part of the 1,300-hectare Renishaw Coastal Precinct (RCP), which consists of lifestyle developments, Renishaw Hills and the newly launched Restilridge Farm Estate.

PR people are often called “spin doctors,” which to us conjures up images of weird zombie voodoo witch doctors. While we like to think of ourselves as good witches rather than bad witches, there\’s certainly an element of magic to what we do. What\’s our method? We can\’t reveal all of our secrets, but read on for a little taste.
