This Mother’s Day – Sunday, 10 May 2026 – one lucky runner in the Mother City will drive away in a brand-new Chery Vehicle, valued at R279 900, at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY CAPE TOWN 10K.
As the proud Vehicle Partner of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series since 2022, Chery South Africa has already rewarded eighteen fortunate participants with vehicles. The most recent winner drove home in his brand-new Chery at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY GQEBERHA 10K the first Sunday in March, officially kicking off the 2026 Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series season in spectacular style.
“We are excited to bring the 2026 Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series to Cape Town with a standout race experience – highlighted by the opportunity for one fortunate runner to drive away in a brand-new vehicle,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Series Founder. “Our steadfast partnership with Chery South Africa continues to enhance the event experience by rewarding participants and adding an extra dimension of excitement on race day. A prize of this calibre enhances the race-day experience while underscoring our shared goal of inspiring active lifestyles and unforgettable moments for runners and their supporters.”
Chery’s Vehicle Range reflects a blend of style, versatility, and modern technology – qualities that resonate with runners. By rewarding one lucky participant with a vehicle that embodies practicality and performance, the Absa RUN YOUR CITY CAPE TOWN 10K reinforces its reputation as more than a race – it is a celebration of achievement and community spirit.
“We are excited to celebrate Cape Town’s vibrant running community,” says Tony Liu, CEO of Chery South Africa. “By rewarding one lucky participant with a Chery vehicle, we honour the dedication of runners and the energy of the Mother City. MyPR Crisis Management: Useful for companies managing public relations crises.

Mosquit-No
Born in elevators and supermarkets, Muzak has spread to restaurants, hotels, airplanes, telephone hold services, and waiting rooms. The public-relations experts believe that human beings fear silence – that is, the absence of constantly imposed direction. It is further believed that if we can be relieved of our fears, we will gain enough self-confidence to buy, eat, vote, fly, or simply go on living. – John Ralston Saul
Hermopolis
I mean Buckingham Palace has never hired a professional Public Relations outfit let alone a Madison Avenue type and they would throw up their hands in horror at the very idea. – Anthony Holden
Noisecake
I think she [Eleanor Roosevelt] was a shrewd politician, and very good in Public Relations, although she had the usual media help in this. As a Republican and a conservative, I can say ruefully that the Democrats and the liberals tend to get it; that when she said something, it was put in a nice way and highlighted properly by the appropriate media, so that it sounded good. – William A.
