Fancy Chasing the Catch?

14 October 2025 by Guest

Betway Catch R2 million returns for the highly anticipated fourth season of Betway SA20, which is set to deliver incredible cricket and entertainment from 26 December 2025 to 25 January 2026.

Season 4 will see fans once again sharpening their skills with an eye on taking a clean, one-handed catch to claim their share of the R2 million on offer. The fans who take a clean, one-handed catch in the stadium AND play the exclusive Betway Catch Game online, will TRIPLE their winnings.

Here is how it works:

  1. As a Betway account holder, you need to have played the Betway Catch Game to qualify.
  2. Legitimately take a clean one-handed catch in the stadium.
  3. You triple your winnings courtesy of Betway.

Play the game. Take a catch. Triple your winnings.

Betway SA20 League Commissioner, Graeme Smith said: “The Betway Catch R2 million has become an integral part of the Betway SA20 stadium experience and is a fan-favourite at all the stadiums across the 34 matches each season. Season 4 promises to reward fans with more opportunities to be part of the action and the winnings. I’m looking forward to seeing all the spectacular one-handed catch efforts around the country.”

Another exciting addition to this edition of the Betway SA20, is the “Chasing the Catch” campaign. Fans will stand the chance to win an incredible experience where TWO lucky winners will travel the country on an epic summer adventure to watch ALL the games and, in the process, get a front row seat at the stadiums to take a clean one-handed catch for their share of the R2 million on offer. How good is that?!

How to enter:

  1. Head to www.chasingthecatch.com
  2. Upload a 60-second video describing why you should be the one chasing the catch
  3. We want to see GEES, so bring on the humour and cricket vibes
  4. The best videos will be showcased on the Betway socials
  5. Remember, we want GEES!

Betway SA Head of Marketing, Mark Rowles said: “Time flies when you’re having fun and we have certainly had tremendous fun as title sponsors of the Betway SA20. We are thrilled to be associated with this tournament, which has become a key entertainment feature in the calendar for so many South Africans. We at Betway want to continue innovating and giving fans more opportunities to win and that is why we are announcing the “Chasing the Catch” competition where we will see two cricket fans travelling the Rainbow Nation to watch world-class entertainment and stand a chance to win their share of R2m, good luck to all those entering and we can’t wait to see you bring the GEES for Season 4 of the Betway SA20.”

Since the start of the League, Betway has rewarded a total of 30 lucky fans with a total of R6 million in winnings. Season 4 of the Betway SA20 will see another R2 million up for grabs.

In addition to the Betway Catch Game, fans can continue looking forward to the all-round premium entertainment brought by the League, which caters to cricket fans, those chasing a fun day out, as well as families that enjoy being out under the South African summer skies.

Rugby balls were first made from pig’s bladders – Rugby ball’s distinctive plum shape makes them aerodynamic, easy to hold, and easy to pass over distances. To encapsulate those qualities, original rugby balls were made from inflated pigs bladders, stitched tightly to trap the air. Gross but very true!

Chris Gayle is the only batsman to hit a six off the first ball of a Test match – In the 137 years of Test cricket no cricketer has ever hit a six off the first ball of a Test match. Audacious Chris Gayle achieved this feat against Bangladesh in 2012 off debutant Sohag Gazi.
