Wedding bells are ringing at Woodlands Mall this February, as the Ek’s Verloof Wedding exhibition, hosted by Bruidsgids and Wedding Guide, takes over the mall for two full days of inspiration, ideas and indulgence.
You’ve said yes and there is a ring on your finger but now there are a hundred unanswered questions in your head. Clear your weekend. Ek’s Verloof is landing at Woodlands, and it is bringing wedding planning out of the group chat and into real life.
On Friday, 7 February and Saturday, 8 February, Woodlands transforms into a full-scale wedding hub, with close to 80 exhibitors spread throughout the mall. No awkward appointments. No scrolling until midnight. Just real suppliers, real ideas and plenty of moments that make everything feel possible again.
Expect bridal fashion that actually suits your style, décor that moves beyond the obvious, photographers who know how to capture the moment and service providers who understand budgets as well as dreams. Whether you are planning something intimate or going all out, Ek’s Verloof gives you the chance to see it, touch it and talk it through in one place.
Entry is free, so couples can drop in, browse and build a shortlist without pressure. Brides who register at Entrance 2 outside Spur can also score exclusive goodie bags, with the first 300 registered brides each day walking away with something special.
Those looking for practical advice can book into interactive workshops hosted by Bruidsgids and Wedding Guide across both days. These sessions are designed to answer the questions Google cannot, offering straight-talking guidance from wedding professionals who have seen it all. Workshops take place opposite PNA near Entrance 1 on the Wimpy side of the mall. Tickets cost R250 per person and spaces are limited.
Ek’s Verloof is for the newly engaged, the nearly married and anyone who wants wedding planning to feel exciting again. It is less about ticking boxes and more about finding the pieces that make your day feel like yours.

People often have an unhindered perspective on what PR should be, and here is what AI & Laura Ries think of the same. “It’s PR that needs to be creative. It’s PR that needs to be new and different. It’s PR that needs to be original. The best way to establish a brand is to create a new category, and creating a new category requires creative thinking of the highest order.”

Entering into the workforce is stressful enough as it is. Taking a job you don’t really understand can make it even worse, so make sure to have all the facts straight. If nothing else, it’s clear that PR is a field that brings together all kinds of skills and interests – now decide if it’s right for you.
