“Gallery on the Greens Residency”

13 August 2025 by Guest

The 2Roads Foundation is pleased to announce its inaugural Gallery on the Greens Residency, a 6-week immersive programme dedicated to supporting and developing emerging and independent visual artists. Hosted at the biclique setting of the 2Roads Retreat by the Vaal River, this residency provides selected artists with an immersive environment to deepen their creative practice. The programme will be supported by expert mentorship, dedicated studio space, and opportunities for art community engagement.

Applications are open from 13 August until 25 August to artist who are self-taught or recently graduated within the last three years. Throughout the residency, artists will develop new bodies of work and receive professional guidance tailored to enhance their artistic growth.

This will culminate in a curated exhibition in Johannesburg this November 2025, and the opportunity to showcase at an international exhibition in early 2026, offering valuable exposure to a global art audience.

“This residency represents a vital platform for emerging visual artists to focus on their craft in a nurturing and inspiring setting,” said Kabelo Molaudzi, spokesperson for the 2Roads Foundation. “Our commitment is to provide more than just a residency; we foster meaningful mentorship and connections that can advance an artist’s career.”

Interested candidates can apply by visiting https://2roads.co.za/2rf/ for further information. Deadline for applications 25 August 2025.
