Gauteng’s Bold Rescue Plan

12 March 2024 by Guest

Dear Editor

The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Gauteng presented its promise to the electorate today.

The impasse we have reached, is one that will be defining to the future of Gauteng, and more so, to South Africa.

The assumption that this province will realise its potential without intervention, is a flawed one.

While areas in Johannesburg grapple with the equivalent of stage 9 loadshedding, the people of Cape Town have moved two stages lower than the rest of us. That is the DA difference.

That is what we do. We bring about change, change that is felt across the board. It is bearing this spirit of change in mind that we make our offer to Gauteng.

A DA government can, and will Rescue Gauteng and South Africa.

Our offer to rescue Gauteng includes:

1. An end to extensive electricity outages;
2. An end to water outages, potholed roads, and failing infrastructure;
3. Punishment of crime, and an end to fear of violence;
4. An economy that creates jobs and business opportunities;
5. An end to deeply rooted corruption;
6. A quality education for all; and
7. An end to our failing healthcare system.

These commitments are implementable, feasible, and more so, a change that is just as close to you as you are to a ballot paper.

The 29th of May will be a watershed moment for South Africa, and Gauteng.

The DA will rescue Gauteng. Together, we will rescue the entire country.

Regards

Solly Msimanga MPL
DA Gauteng Premier Candidate
