GQEBERHA FESTIVE SHOWSTOPPER

This festive season, give the gift of a proudly Eastern Cape summer outing, where cricket, culture, coastal energy and full-day entertainment come together. Gqeberha is gearing up for its biggest holiday celebration as St George’s Park transforms into a vibrant festival playground for a series of blockbuster fixtures from 28 December 2025 until 18 January 2026.

This is more than cricket. It’s a full-scale lifestyle experience built for families, superfans, coast-loving locals and holiday visitors ready to soak up everything that makes the Eastern Cape special.

Here’s everything turning St George’s Park into the most exciting entertainment hub in Gqeberha this summer:

  • Local Performers – Expect the famous brass band to bring the sound and spirit of the city to the concourse, delivering colour, rhythm and big Gqeberha energy.
  • Fun-filled activities for kids – Gates open 3 hours before the start of each match. All young fans are invited onto the field for the first hour after gates open. Kids are encouraged to bring a bat and soft ball, giving them a unique chance to play, explore and be part of the action before the match begins (Weather dependent). In addition to cricket, fun activities for the kids include stilt walkers, balloon artists, and face painters.
  • Festive Giveaways & Surprise Activations – From Christmas cheer and New Year’s Eve excitement to summer surprises, fans can expect merchendise drops, festive pop-ups and memory-making moments throughout the stadium.
  • Massive Prizes Up for Grabs –
    • The chance to win big for a clean one-handed catch in Betway’s Catch R2 Million competition. Suzuki will also be giving away a brand new Suzuki Swift GL+.
    • Absa cardholders will enjoy ticketing discounts as well as a chance to win up to R200 000 at every live Betway SA20 match!
    • Switch will be giving away R5K at each match, and Castle Lite is back with their spin-and-win wheel.

We who preach the gospel must not think of ourselves as Public Relations agents sent to establish good will between Christ and the world. We must not imagine ourselves commissioned to make Christ acceptable to big business, the press, the world of sports or modern education. We are not diplomats but prophets, and our message is not a compromise but an ultimatum. – Aiden Wilson Tozer

PR doesn\’t always have the best rep when it comes to ethics. Some people, because of bad things that they\’ve done in the past, have even been called propagandists. But there\’s a big ethical difference between real PR and simple propaganda, and here it is: PR is always solidly rooted in fact. PR is part of the good fight, as the wise people quoted below have recognized.
