Cricket South Africa (CSA) is delighted to announce Hollywoodbets as the official title sponsor for the CSA Professional Women’s League, now titled the Hollywoodbets Pro Series.

The partnership was launched during an event held in Sandton, where cricket stakeholders congregated to witness this significant milestone of two brands coming together to advance women’s cricket.

Engaging discussions featuring the Captains of the Hollywoodbets Pro Series, reflecting on the successes of the past season, formed part of the unveiling. They expressed their anticipation for the upcoming series, sharing their excitement for a partnership that pays homage to the sport, bringing together all who love the game.

CSA and Hollywoodbets are committed to fostering the development of cricket among women from diverse backgrounds and every corner of the country. This exciting partnership represents a significant milestone in their shared vision to elevate women’s cricket across South Africa.

The partnership comes at an opportune time where there is a notable shift in the elevation of women’s cricket globally.

CSA Chief Executive Officer, Pholetsi Moseki, said “We welcome this all-important partnership with Hollywoodbets and we look forward to the immense possibilities it will present to professional women’s cricket and the broader landscape of women’s sports.

“Hollywoodbets has brought about a refreshing perspective to women’s sport.

“Through this partnership, the Hollywoodbets Pro Series is set to embark on a journey of unprecedented growth and success by unearthing and nurturing new talent, while redefining the future of women’s cricket in South Africa and beyond.”

Devin Heffer, Hollywoodbets Brand and Communications Manager shared his sentiments; “This is an exciting chapter in the history of cricket in South Africa as the women’s domestic game turns professional!

“We’ve seen tremendous success in women’s football through our sponsorship of the Hollywoodbets Super League, and now we look forward to making a lasting impact on women’s cricket with the Hollywoodbets Pro Series. Our country has incredible talent waiting to be unearthed, and with this enhanced platform, we can discover the next Nonkululeko Mlaba or Chloe Tryon.

“Working with CSA, we aspire not only to make cricket an attractive and lucrative sport for women across the country, but also to use the influence of these cricketers to pay it forward through grassroots projects and sports development. Let the Hollywoodbets Pro Series begin!”
