From fun staycations to mobile games, Nestlé KitKat recommends fun ways to unwind

Spring is in the air, and with warmer days ahead, it’s the perfect time for South Africans to embrace fun breaks that recharge and refresh. From travel inspirations to hilarious, bite-sized news from the ‘For Fun’s Sake News Show,’ KitKat is here to champion the season’s most entertaining breaks.

To make it even more exciting, KitKat is running a competition, where participants stand a chance to win a fun break experience worth R1,200 or a cash voucher worth R1,000! With every entry, participants get a guaranteed hour of unlimited lives on Candy Crush to keep the fun going. Here’s how to make the most of spring and summer while taking a ‘For Fun’s Sake’ break.

2. Explore South Africa’s Hidden Gems

Spring and summer are the best times to get out and explore South Africa’s incredible landscapes and city sights. With a Nestlé KitKat in hand, set out to discover:

• Beach Breaks: Durban’s Golden Mile or Cape Town’s Clifton Beach offer sun, sea, and plenty of fun. Enjoy a day on the sand, savouring a break with Nestlé KitKat while you soak in the waves and views.
• City Escapes: Urban jungles like Johannesburg and Cape Town are bustling with rooftop bars, trendy cafés, and unique street art. Take a stroll through Maboneng Precinct or Woodstock and capture Insta-worthy moments along the way.
• Nature Hikes: If you prefer nature’s tranquillity, hit the trails of Table Mountain or Drakensberg. Enjoy a Nestlé KitKat as a tasty reward after reaching the summit and taking in those breathtaking views.

3. Staycation with a Twist – Backyard Picnics and DIY Fun

Sometimes, the best breaks happen right in your backyard. Set up a cozy picnic with blankets, snacks, and, of course, Nestlé KitKat. Grab a few friends, play some laid-back tunes, and spend the day reconnecting in the comfort of your home. Or, go DIY and create your own mini spa day with facials, pedicures, and a KitKat treat for the perfect blend of relaxation and indulgence.

4. Win a Fun Break with Nestlé KitKat – Here’s How!

The brand is taking things up a notch with a fantastic competition where you could win one of 350 fun break experiences worth R1,200 each. Imagine a thrilling bungee jump, a concert, or a food festival right in your town! Here’s how to enter:

• Buy any 2 participating Nestlé KitKat products and WhatsApp “Break” to +27 73 082 3517. Simply follow the prompts and keep your till slip as proof of purchase.
• With each entry, participants can enjoy one hour of unlimited lives on the Candy Crush App, adding even more fun to their day.

What’s up for grabs? Participants stand a chance to win:

• One of 350 fun break experiences in their hometown, each worth R1,200.
• One of 80 cash vouchers valued at R1,000 each.

These fun break experiences are redeemable on Webtickets, meaning winners can pick from a variety of activities across South Africa—whether it’s a theatre show, an outdoor adventure, or a local festival.

The competition runs with random weekly draws on October 21, October 28, November 4, November 11, November 18, November 25, and December 2, 2024. So, each week, you have a new chance to win a break worth talking about.

5. Candy Crush Fun with Every Entry

For those who can’t get enough of Candy Crush, Nestlé KitKat has an extra treat: each entry includes one hour of unlimited lives on the app. It’s a chance to dive into a world of colourful candies and beat challenging levels without any pause. So, while you wait to find out if you’ve won, you can keep the fun going with this freebie.

6. Throw a Nestlé KitKat-Inspired Fun Break Party

Invite friends over for a laid-back gathering and create a Nestlé KitKat-themed dessert bar. From mini Nestlé KitKat cheesecakes to milkshakes, the possibilities are endless. You could even set up a photo booth with props for fun, shareable memories.

Whether you’re traveling, laughing with the ‘For Fun’s Sake News Show,’ or indulging in a Nestlé KitKat-inspired staycation, remember to take breaks that bring you joy. Nestlé KitKat’s

‘For Fun’s Sake’ campaign is all about encouraging South Africans to embrace fun, spontaneity, and a bit of everyday magic.

I think it does pay off because you get a lot of traffic, a lot of free public relations(in media stories). It helps position themselves for the next round of financing. – Charlene Li
