The International Cricket Council (ICC) is pleased to share that the ICC Board has appointed Dr Ros Rivaz as its Independent Director.
Dr Rivaz brings a wealth of experience across diverse sectors and geographies, combining leadership roles in both public and private enterprises with a strong record of board governance. She is currently Chair of Anglian Water and UK Companies House, and serves as Lead Independent Director at Aperam SA and Victrex plc. She also has a wide range of experience in executive roles in blue chip companies, both in the UK and internationally prior to her Board career, providing a broad perspective on strategy, risk, and performance management.
Throughout her career, Dr Rivaz has been an active and engaged Board member, undertaking site visits and stakeholder interactions across government, commercial, and community sectors. Her deep understanding of governance, corporate strategy, and operational effectiveness is complemented by her commitment to diversity and inclusion, making her a strong addition to the ICC Board.
Beyond her corporate contributions, Dr Rivaz has been a dedicated advocate for community and educational initiatives, including supporting STEM uptake among young women through the Your-Life campaign, chairing the Council of the University of Southampton, and actively participating in local community projects and charities such as Water Aid.
Dr Rivaz’s appointment reflects the ICC’s commitment to diverse experience, governance, and strategic oversight, with a focus on ensuring the Board remains capable of steering global cricket through its continued growth and evolution.

Dr Rivaz will join the ICC Board on an initial 3-year term, which can be extended for a maximum of one further 3-year term.
