IEC Launches Election Branding and Logo

2 April 2026 by Guest

Statement by Ashor Sarupen & Werner Horn:

The Democratic Alliance’s national election campaign, toward the upcoming local government election, is at full steam ahead.

The DA sees today’s launch by the IEC of the Election branding and logo as a milestone toward Election Day, however we do expect more certainty on the election date to be forthcoming sooner rather than later.

The DA is actively campaigning in more communities across South Africa than ever before, as this truly national effort aims to win support in every Ward of South Africa. The DA is confident in our campaign, which grows each day with new volunteers, activists and members.

The DA has carefully selected and announced Mayoral Candidates in dozens of Municipalities, who are campaigning flat out to win majorities in those councils so that the DA can get those municipalities working.

The DA’s campaign for this local government election has already engaged millions of voters face to face, and we have assisted almost one-hundred- thousand citizens to register to vote. This is just the start, and the DA will leave no stone unturned to seek the support of voters who want to get their towns and cities working.

The DA is encouraged by an overwhelmingly positive reception by South Africans with every knock at a front door. Support for the DA is strong, and is growing.

The DA has the track record, policies and expertise to turn broken towns and cities around, to get them working.
