Impressive prize purse announced for Totalsports Women’s Race 2023

The Totalsports Women’s Race will boast an impressive, combined prize purse of R202 500,00 in 2023. Taking spot in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban on National Women’s Day (Wednesday, 09 August 2023), runners in each city will be able to compete for their share in the prize.

“We are proud to add to the Women’s Day celebrations by offering a combined prize purse of R202 500,00, at the Totalsports Women’s Race in 2023,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports. “That equates to a R67 500,00 prize purse per city (Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban). Prize money has been allocated to the Top Ten finishers in the Open Category, with the Open Winner taking home R12 000,00, the second-place finisher R10 000,00 and the third-place finisher R8 000,00. Prize money has also been allocated to the top 3 finishers in the Junior, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+ categories.”

In closing Meyer adds: “We are proud to encourage excellence in women’s running in South Africa, and what better platform to finish so than at South Africa’s largest Women’s Day celebration, the Totalsports Women’s Race.”

A fun filled Women’s Day celebration, the Totalsports Women’s Race encourages a healthy lifestyle and invites all women (grandmothers, aunts, sisters, mothers, and daughters) to rush united in support of PinkDrive.
