The latest craze in collectible toys has arrived—meet Freak Marbles, the wild and wacky marbles that bring a fresh twist to a classic trend.

Marbles have always been a toy favourite, and now Freak Marbles are here to shake things up. With bold characters, rare designs, and exciting new ways to play, this collectible toy is set to take over playgrounds and game nights everywhere.

Philip Galliford, spokesperson for Solarpop, says: “Freak Marbles isn’t just a game—it’s a whole new way for kids to play, collect, and connect. This toy has taken the nostalgia of marbles and supercharged it with bold characters, rare finds, and thrilling gameplay. For grown-up marble enthusiasts, Freak Marbles takes the evergreen trend to a whole new level. Whether you’re battling, trading, or showing off your collection, Freak Marbles brings excitement to every roll.”

What Are Freak Marbles?

Freak Marbles are new, collectible, marbles with characterised 360º decoration, trading points, epic gameplay and skins that convert them into figurines for imaginative play or display.

They are no ordinary marbles. Each one has bold, character designs, turning classic glass marbles into mini works of art. Every marble features a unique personality with their own backstory, making them perfect for trading, battling, or simply showing off.

Kids and collectors will be able to seek out the rare freaks within the core range, with glow-in-the-dark, glitter jelly, silver and colour-changing Freak Marbles, as well as the super rare gold marble – Gold Golem.

What’s more, each Freak Marble comes with its own skin that can be removed for play, and also exchanged in order to create new, fun characters. The skin allows each marble to be easily displayed, preventing it from rolling away.

The Freak Marble characters

Inspired by monsters, robots, animals and nightmares, the Freak Marble characters are a blend of urban legends, mythological creatures, pop culture tropes, cute animals and even the quirkiest aspects of everyday life. From the fiery Inferno marble, resembling a mischievous flame, and Circuit, a neon-green tech wizard with an electrifying attitude, to Mimi the cat and Pigly the pig, every Freak Marble is packed with personality.

The Rare and Legendary Marbles

Not all marbles are created equal. While some Freak Marbles are common, rare and ultra-rare designs add an element of surprise and excitement to the range.

These include:

  • Ghost Freaks – Glow-in-the-dark marbles that light up the display shelf at night. Characters include Spectro, a mischievous phantom, and Ecto, a slime-covered ghoul.
  • Shifter Marbles – Heat-reactive designs that change colours as you play. Characters include Inferno, which transitions from red to yellow like flickering flames, and Frostbite, which turns icy blue when cooled.
  • Metallic Monsters – Chrome-finished marbles with intricate, engraved patterns. Characters like Titan, a robotic juggernaut, and Venom, a toxic serpent, stand out in battle.
  • Legendary Freaks – The hardest to find, these marbles are inspired by mythical beings like dragons, cosmic entities, and ancient warriors. Includes Drakonos, the dragon king; Nebulon, a galaxy-infused celestial being; and Abyss, a shadowy figure.
  • Golden Golem (Ultra-Rare Legendary Freak) – There is also the ultra-rare Legendary freak – Golden Golem. This metallic gold marble is decorated with intricate engravings that resemble ancient carvings. It is slightly heavier than regular Freak Marbles, giving it an advantage in knockout-style games. The backstory to Golden Golem explains that this marble was forged in the heart of a collapsing star, giving it near-unbreakable strength.

Collectors will want to hunt down the full set, while competitive players will seek out the best Freak Marbles to dominate in battle.

PR people are often called “spin doctors,” which to us conjures up images of weird zombie voodoo witch doctors. While we like to think of ourselves as good witches rather than bad witches, there\’s certainly an element of magic to what we do. What\’s our method? We can\’t reveal all of our secrets, but read on for a little taste.
