Itoje a fan of more Lions tours to SA | SA News

Maro Itoje has backed the British & Irish Lions to explore new destinations, but says tradition must remain the foundation of what makes the touring side special.

Reports have emerged that the Lions are considering changes to their long-standing 12-year rotation model, which cycles tours between the three southern hemisphere nations.

France, Japan and the Americas are reportedly under consideration beyond 2029, when the Lions are scheduled to tour New Zealand. A return to South Africa is pencilled in for 2033.
