KZN is ready to become a province that works | SA News

Note to Editors: The following speech was delivered in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal today by the leader of the Democratic Alliance, Geordin Hill-Lewis, during the party’s Provincial Congress.

Colleagues, delegates, friends, 

It is wonderful to be here in KwaZulu-Natal. 

This is one of the most beautiful provinces in our country. It is a province of extraordinary history, deep community life, enormous economic potential, and some of the most resilient people anywhere in South Africa. 

But it is also a province that knows hardship. It knows what it means when infrastructure fails. It knows what it means when criminals terrorise communities. It knows what it means when corruption hollows out…
