Last Call to Apply as a Councillor Candidate

Dear Editor

The DA will soon close the window for applications to be submitted by persons wishing to be considered as councillor candidates in next year’s Local Government Election.

With the closing of applications looming the DA is making our “last call” – apply now or you cannot stand as a DA candidate in the 2026 Local Government Election.

We are in search of the very best, and most committed local community leaders and community workers, who can step up and represent the DA and residents in local government.

The DA is on track with preparations at full steam for a bold election campaign, as DA support grows in communities across South Africa.

The DA calls on all interested South Africans who align with the DA’s values, and who are ready to serve their communities as local government councillors, to apply before it is too late.
