Magic: The Gathering fans and newbies are thrilled to step back into the mysterious, dreamlike world of Lorwyn, only this time it’s changed. Lorwyn Eclipsed, the latest set from MTG’s Universes Beyond narrative arc, reimagines the beloved plane through a different lens, blending shadowed folklore with powerful new mechanics and breathtaking card art.

Stefan Roets, spokesperson for Solarpop and long-time MtG fan believes that the aesthetic alone is enough to draw you in. “The artwork is stunning, and the lore is deep and well thought out, so I think collectors will love them. But for players, the real magic lies in how the new cards offer more dynamic strategies across formats. If you’re already a fan, you’ll enjoy Lorwyn Eclipsed, and if you’re new to Magic: The Gathering, it’s a good place to start,” he says.

Lorwyn Eclipsed taps into the heart of what makes Magic so timeless – its ability to blend nostalgia with bold, creative reinvention. With new tribal synergies, mysterious flip cards, and a refreshed take on beloved characters, Lorwyn Eclipsed is both exciting for long-time fans and an enticing entry point for curious newcomers.

As the South African TCG community continues to grow, sets like this keep the excitement alive proving that even in a game with over 30 years of history, there’s always another story to be told, and another deck to build. Expect packs to fly off shelves because this is one you’ll want to collect and play.
