6 July 2026 – Head coach of the South African U20 Men’s National Team, Raymond Mdaka, has named a preliminary squad of 61 players to kickstart preparations for the 2026 COSAFA U20 Men’s Youth Championship scheduled for September this year.

The team will be whittled down before the start of their week-long training camp, which will be held from 12 -19 July 2026 in Johannesburg. Amajita are finalizing plans to play friendly matches during that period.
