This Mother’s Day, Mall of the South is shining the spotlight on the moments that truly define motherhood, the shared laughs, and the lifelong guidance that deserve recognition every day.

From the 20th of April to the 10th of May 2026, Mall of the South is hosting a Mother’s Day campaign that encourages heartfelt reflection while offering 3 shoppers the chance to win a share of R21 000 in prizes.

At the centre of the campaign is a simple invitation which is to pause and honour a cherished memory. Shoppers are encouraged to share their personal “Mall of the South mom Memory”, celebrating a mother, grandmother or mother figure who has made a lasting impact.

“Mother’s Day is ultimately about appreciation,” says Hester Smith, Mall of the South Centre Manager. “By inviting our shoppers to share meaningful stories, we are celebrating motherhood in a way that feels authentic, emotional and community driven.”

Entering the competition is effortless:

  • Follow Mall of the South on Facebook &/ Instagram
  • Share your special ‘Mall of the South Mom Memory’ on the mall’s social media platforms pinned post

Entries will be accepted via Facebook and Instagram, making it easy for shoppers to participate wherever they are.

Participants stand the chance to win prizes and vouchers from a range of much loved Mall of the South retailers, including Edgars, Clicks, Waxit, Shield Express, Exclusive Books, Uniq Brows, Velaze M, In Full Bloom and Chic Jewels Boutique.

The thoughtfully selected prizes are designed to encourage indulgence, self care and moments of everyday luxury because moms deserve to be spoiled.

Mall of the South continues to be more than a shopping destination; it is a place where memories are made, and milestones are celebrated. This Mother’s Day campaign reinforces the mall’s commitment to creating experiences that connect retail with real life.

Whether shoppers are hunting for the perfect gift in centre or engaging online, the campaign ensures Mother’s Day is marked with warmth, gratitude and a touch of surprise.
