Most expensive vehicle licence discs in South Africa | SA News


Motorists in Gauteng generally pay more to renew their vehicle licence disc than motorists living in other provinces, with KwaZulu-Natal having the second-most expensive renewal fees.

Gauteng’s renewal fees are higher for 10 of 13 vehicle tare weight categories, while KwaZulu-Natal’s fees are high for the remaining three.

However, it’s important to note that KwaZulu-Natal last updated its licence disc renewal fees in April 2020, while Gauteng updated its fees in April this year.
