Music fans must head to the 57th Ballito Pro Presented by O’Neill this week for the epic free Ballito Pro Music Concerts Presented by Corona at Salt Rock Main Beach. Thursday night (4.30pm to 10.30pm) brings an electrifying Afro-house and electronic music line-up featuring Mörda (Murdah Bongz), DJ Merlon, Blanco Nero, Asvnte, Jay Sbu, and the winner of the Battle of the DJs. Then on Friday (4pm to 11.30pm), the stage comes alive with Booshle G, The Saxby Twins, Veranda Panda, Zebra, Phil Taylor Band, Matt Gardiner, and Bloodbrother for an unforgettable evening of rock and pop under the stars.

Also not to be missed is the first-ever Surf & Turf Challenge on Thursday, 16 July, where the excitement of the FIFA World Cup meets South Africa’s surf culture. Five teams, each representing a football nation, will see former Bafana Bafana stars team up with professional surfers in a unique relay event that combines soccer skills with wave-riding action. Spectators can also watch the championship rounds of the Bafana Bafana U15 Soccer Development Programme, hosted by KwaDukuza Municipality, and the Ballito Pro.

There’s even more to experience across the festival, including the Corona Sunset Sessions, the bustling Retail Village, food vendors, beach volleyball and soccer, SeaHer women’s surf activations, yoga and Pilates, beach rugby and judo, the Ballito Arts Showcase, Red Bull Brian Capper Bike Displays, children’s entertainment with Jive With Jen, tourism experiences, and conservation initiatives led by Litter4Tokens and Stop the Strangle.

The festival concludes on Saturday with the WSL Challenger Series Finals, where the world’s top emerging surfers will battle it out for the Ballito Pro title. Before the champions are crowned, festivalgoers are encouraged to take part in the special Mandela Day 67 Minutes for the Ocean beach clean-up, dedicating 67 minutes to collecting litter, ghost fishing gear and nurdles to help protect Ballito’s coastline. Participants can enjoy fun prize activations, contribute to the live Litter4Tokens impact tally, and make a meaningful difference for the ocean while honouring Nelson Mandela’s legacy.

Don’t miss out! Visit www.theballitopro.com for the full festival programme or follow on Facebook and Instagram!
