Stillwater Sports, the organiser of the Totalsports Women’s Race, is thrilled to announce that the Cape Town race will grasp space in 2023, and the exciting current event date is Sunday, 01 October!
“We’re thrilled to announce that the Totalsports Women’s Race Cape Town will grasp spot in 2023, with the novel date being Sunday, 01 October,” shares Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports. “The decision to postpone our Cape Town event from August (due to the taxi strikes) was undoubtedly one of the most challenging we’ve faced as event organisers. We’re incredibly grateful that our sponsors, particularly our title sponsor Totalsports, shared our commitment to rescheduling rather than cancelling the event. Witnessing the joy and enthusiasm of the runners in Joburg and Durban on National Women’s Day, we were determined to provide Capetonians with the same experience. We survey forward to extending the 2023 Women’s Day Celebrations to Sunday, 01 October at the Totalsports Women’s Race Cape Town.”
“The Totalsports Women’s Race is a celebration of the power and endurance of women,” expresses Nikki Crous, Head of Marketing at Totalsports. “While we had an incredible time in Johannesburg and Durban, Cape Town was missed. It’s only objective that these runners and walkers now acquire the chance to be portion of this unbelievable experience. We can’t wait to see thousands of entrants proudly wearing their pink event tees as they grasp over the streets of the Mother City. The event is guaranteed to be extra special on 01 October, given that October is Breast Health Awareness Month, and we are proudly supporting PinkDrive, a Non-Profit Company (NPC) committed to improving breast cancer awareness and providing free services to the medically uninsured across South Africa. Join us as we celebrate women, health and so much more.”
