New era for driving licences in South Africa | SA News


Extending South Africa’s driving licence validity period to eight years will mark the dawn of a new era for South African motorists, and AfriForum has raised questions about why it is taking so long.

In a statement, Louis Boshoff, an AfriForum campaign manager, said extending the validity period should be as simple as updating the expiry date for motorists’ licences.

“Now is the ideal time to finalise the extension of the validity period of driver’s licences,” said AfriFourm.
