New Long Tern Sponsor for Lions Rugby Team

24 October 2023 by Guest

Chery South Africa is proud to announce a significant three-year sponsorship agreement with the Lions Rugby Team, strengthening its commitment to supporting local sports and fostering a culture of excellence and performance in South Africa.

This remarkable partnership marks the beginning of a promising and exciting journey as Chery South Africa takes pride in becoming an official sponsor of the Lions Rugby Team, one of the country’s most iconic rugby franchises. The Lions Rugby Team, renowned for its power, skill, and indomitable spirit, serves as the perfect embodiment of Chery’s values and aspirations.

Chery’s All New TIGGO 7 Pro Max AWD made a sneak peek appearance at the Emirates Airline Park this past Saturday during the Lions vs Stormers match. This remarkable SUV embodies power, innovation, and cutting-edge performance technology, much like the Lions Rugby Team itself. The TIGGO 7 Pro Max AWD is engineered to conquer any challenge, just as the Lions will relentlessly strive for victory in every match in the 2023/24 league.

As the Lions Rugby Team charges onto the field with tenacity and unwavering determination, the New TIGGO 7 Pro Max’s remarkable 1.6 TGDI turbo-petrol ATECO engine does just the same, as a true engineering marvel that roars to life with 145kW and 290Nm of torque. The insignia of this power is proudly displayed on the rear boot lid in the form of the 290T logo.

Arriving on South African shores soon, the New TIGGO 7 Pro Max takes the already popular TIGGO 7 Pro range to a new level, offering drivers world class technology, all-wheel drive performance and an updated stand-out design.

The Lions Rugby Team boasts an illustrious history of championships and a legacy of unwavering excellence. Chery South Africa recognises the dedication and strength exhibited by the team, and we are proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with such a prestigious team. This sponsorship embodies Chery’s commitment to supporting local talent, nurturing sportsmanship, and promoting a culture of excellence throughout South Africa.

“We are thrilled to embark on this three-year journey alongside the Lions Rugby Team,” stated Tony Liu, Executive Deputy General Manager of Chery South Africa. “This partnership represents the fusion of two powerful entities dedicated to excellence and the pursuit of success. The TIGGO 7 Pro MAX is emblematic of the Lion’s spirit, powerful and fearless. We look forward to an exhilarating collaboration and witnessing the Lions continue to rise and roar.”
