New Venues and Dates for Cape Town 10s

29 July 2023 by Alan

The 10s Series is back in the Western Cape with some exciting new announcements!

The popular Winelands 10s has continued to grow which meant a change in venue was needed to accommodate the close to 100 teams set to compete this year.

The 10s Series is excited to announce the new venue for the annual Play.co.za Winelands 10s festival, happening on the 3rd and 4th of November 2023 at the picturesque Boland Landbouskool in Paarl.

A warm welcome back to our friends PLAY.co.za as headline sponsor for the Winelands and Cape Town 10s events. These events are really shaping up to be even bigger than the last!

The Play.co.za Cape Town 10s will be taking place in Green Point on the 2nd and 3rd of February 2024. There’s more to 10s than just sport, though… The Play.co.za Winelands 10s and Play.co.za Cape Town 10s will have an exciting line up of entertainment and new sports for participants and supporters.

The Play.co.za 10s festivals offer multiple codes of sports to enter and participate in, meaning there are plenty of things to get you involved. At the Play.co.za CT 10s, there will be rugby, netball, dodgeball, soccer, water polo, and basketball. The Play.co.za Winelands 10s will offer rugby, netball, and dodgeball with some trail run routes for the avid social runner. A guaranteed two days of fun, competition, and enjoyment are in store!

You can expect live music from SAMA nominated Afrikaans musician Appel as he performs songs from his latest album ‘Wille Ding’ at the Play.co.za Winelands 10s later this year. To go along with all the entertainment lined up for both events, and beer tents to help keep the vibe going long after a day of sports.

Play.co.za, our esteemed title partner, returns to support both festivals and is revolutionizing the game with its virtual sporting arena, where competition transcends boundaries and exhilaration knows no limits. As the hub of live sports, esports, and interactive fixed-odds gaming, Play.co.za brings an unparalleled dimension to both of these highly anticipated sports, lifestyle, and entertainment festivals. With their infectious enthusiasm and unwavering commitment to fun, Play.co.za is set to take these events to unimaginable heights, leaving participants, supporters, and revellers thrilled.

We’re bringing together live sports, live games, live music, good food, and good vibes for an unforgettable experience. There will be great prizes up for grabs, and we’re sure everyone will have a blast. So prepare to be amazed, and get ready for the biggest and best 10s events yet!” – Bianca Uys – Marketing Director.
