3 July 2023 by Alan

Messe Frankfurt South Africa has announced that the highly anticipated third edition of AERO South Africa will take place from the 6th – 8th July of 2023. This important general aviation event, promises to be an engaging gathering of industry professionals.

Building on the success of previous editions, AERO South Africa has firmly established itself as a premier aviation event. From groundbreaking innovations to a comprehensive range of products and services, the event showcases the entire spectrum of the general aviation sector. With 60 exhibitors and an impressive display of aircraft, AERO South Africa offers a unique opportunity to be exposed to new technologies and to foster meaningful dialogue between exhibiting companies, trade buyers, partners, and investors, aimed at driving sector growth. To this end, we have reintroduced the highly successful Business Matchmaking program, designed to pair exhibiting companies with trade visitors.

The City of Tshwane, the host city, has pledged its continued support to AERO South Africa. As the city strives to become the hub for general aviation in Southern Africa, Wonderboom National Airport is the perfect location, capable of accommodating aircraft fly-ins for visitors and demo flights.

AERO South Africa, in collaboration with the City of Tshwane, The Aviation Development Foundation and Blue-Chip Flight School will present a Youth Development program for Aviation and Engineering graduates interested in the general aviation industry. On the 7th of July, from 11 am to 2 pm, graduates are invited to the event for an informative presentation on the vast career opportunities within aviation. The session will feature an introduction to general aviation, followed by inspiring talks from Protégé about their personal “road to success” in the industry.

Interested graduates can apply to attend the event by visiting our website (Click here to register for the Youth Development Programme). Please note that space is limited.

“I want to extend a special word of thanks, to the City of Frankfurt in Germany, the owners of Messe Frankfurt SA, for the trust they have in our Country and our City and having the faith to invest in a general aviation exhibition during the current difficult economic conditions. We firmly believe that your faith and trust in this City is well placed, and that it will bear fruit for Messe Frankfurt as Tshwane is hungry for opportunities, business and development. We truly look forward to the third installment of the AERO South Africa aviation trade show at Wonderboom National Airport.” said Councillor Cilliers Brink, Executive Mayor of Tshwane.

Another highlight of this year’s event is the Speaker’s Corner, featuring an exceptional lineup of speakers who will address important topics related to the general aviation industry and to launch new products. With presentations from brands such as Garmin, Bose, Foreflight, and VL3Aviation, among others, the Speaker’s Corner is a must-visit for trade visitors. In addition to the talks, registered visitors can enjoy Fly-ins to the event, explore the Park and Sell area showcasing pre-owned aircraft, and even watch selected demo flights. AERO South Africa promises a truly engaging and unforgettable experience for trade visitors.

With a range of exciting offerings at AERO SOUTH AFRICA 2023, it comes as no surprise that we have already received an overwhelming response from registered journalists and media partners interested in covering the event.
