For the first time ever a Vodacom United Rugby Championship game will take place in London after Ospreys confirmed they would use the Twickenham Stoop to host their Round 3 match-up with the Hollywoodbets Sharks.
Tickets are now on sale as four-time league winners Ospreys take on one of South Africa’s most famous clubs on Friday, November 3, at 19:35 UK / 21:35 SA. This initiative led by Ospreys with the support of Hollywoodbets Sharks, the league and key stakeholders will add a unique event to the Vodacom URC calendar for the 2023/24 season.
With the biggest Vodacom URC fanbases outside of the league’s core markets residing in London, this offers rugby supporters a real taste of competitive league action in a city synonymous with sport.
United Rugby Championship CEO, Martin Anayi, said: “We believe rugby should embrace new ideas and innovative events and we’re very happy to support Ospreys and Hollywoodbets Sharks in bringing the Vodacom United Rugby Championship to one of the world’s biggest cities where sport has such an iconic history.
