Payments at all magistrates courts to be suspended for system upgrade

The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development has announced that the provision of payment services at all magistrates’ courts in the country will be temporarily suspended with effect from 13:30 on Friday, 01 November 2024.

The suspension is due to the upgrading of the payments system.

The service will only resume on Monday, 04 November 2024.

“The department apologises for any inconvenience which would be suffered during the period of system upgrade and reiterates its commitment to bring access to justice services,” the department said in a statement. – SAnews.gov.za
